A Good Time Summer Wrap Up

Here’s to everywhere else we ate this summer. Festivals, fairs, backyards, and maybe a bar or two.

These are Butterfly Chips. From what I gather, it’s a potato on a motorized thingamabob that churns out one large chip. Regardless of how it’s made, it’s tasty and fun to eat!

Blueberry pancake breakfast, blueberry muffins, and Kool Cow Cabin Creamery’s blueberry cheesecake ice cream.


Firwood Festival, Firwood United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre, Pa

Potato pancakes with sour cream and with ketchup.

Buck-a-shuck oyster night every Monday! How we didn’t get kicked out for the ruckus we cased is beyond us! Our first stop this summer with the Whiskey Bacon Traveling Circus.

Yes, more oyster. What can we say…we love slurping them down. The drink, the ‘Volcanic Blast’ AKA ‘The Baby Maker’. It’s supposed to be big enough for two or three brave souls…or one WhiskeyBeard. *note, no babies we made during the consumption of this drink…we think…

The Tyre Square Club BBQ Cookout, Wilkes-Barre, PA
You know that street corner BBQ that pops up every now and then…that makes you pull a U-turn in traffic and almost die just to get it. This, this is it. About 10 times a year these guys show up and it as the best BBQ in town…literally, the best. $10 for ribs, mac’n’cheese, greens and yams. NOM!

Swashbuckler Brewing Company’s Oatmeal Stout at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. It makes you want to dress up in a bodice to drink every weekend!
